Presentation: AFFF Legislation and Foam System Replacement

In 2019, the Governor of Colorado signed into law HB19-1279. One of the aspects of this bill is the the ban on the sale of PFAS containing Class B fire-fighting foam (such as AFFF) after August 2, 2021 with some exceptions. Across the fire prevention industry this is a growing trend at both the state and national level to limit the use and sale of AFFF. Dave Gramlich will provide a presentation reviewing the legislation shifts as well as foam system replacement approaches and options.
